TRI / SFI
Based on the provided documentation, we schedule the Revalidation or Renewal Based on the provided documentation, we schedule the Revalidation or Renewal of TRI/SFI certificates, planning refresh, which can be conducted online or live and AOC with TRE, and giving support in completing the related paperwork for the transcription request to the Competent Authority.
Type Rating Instructor
TRI Renewal
Il rinnovo o revalidation is done while the certificate is still valid and requires that in the 12 months prior to expiration, at least 2 of the following requirements are met:
- Perform a training session of at least three hours within a type rating or type rating renewal;
- Having attended a theoretical updating course at an ATO;
- Having passed the competency assessment (AOC).
TRI Revalidation
Revalidation has to be done when the certificate is expired.
The Revalidation program requires that in the 12 months prior to expiration date, the
applicant has:
- Completed at least 30 route sectors, including take-offs and landings, on the applicable aeroplane type, of which up to 15 routes may be completed in an SBB;
- Completed a theoretical updating course at an ATO;
- Having passed the competency assessment (AOC).
Synthetic Flight Instructor
SFI Renewal
Renewal has to be done while the certificate is still valid and requires at least 2 of the following requirements to be met before expiry:
- Having completed at least 50 hours as an instructor or examiner on FSTD, including at least 15 hours within the 12 months prior to expiry of the SFI certificate;
- Having attended a theoretical updating course at an ATO;
- Having passed the competency assessment (AOC).
SFI Revalidation
Revalidation has to be done when the certificate is expired.
The revalidation program requires that the candidate has:
- Completed a theoretical updating course at an ATO;
- Passed the assessment of competence (AOC);

- Having attended a theoretical updating course at an ATO;
- Having passed the competency assessment (AOC).

The revalidation program requires that the candidate has:
- Completed a theoretical updating course at an ATO;
- Passed the assessment of competence (AOC);
- Completed an abilitation test on FSTD to release A320 or B737 licenses.
